How did you like Joni’s work this week – bet it was fantastic as usual! Our challenge this week is to use garden green with either calypso coral and sky blue or with so saffron & melon mambo. I decided to make this 3D pumpkin by using the oval framelits, 1 3/8 circle punch, the wood embossing folder and the little leaves sizzlit along with the background stamped in sky blue with my new stamp set Flowering Flourished. I got the idea from a you tube video I came across. Now jump on over to Sandy’s blog and see if she made a 3D entry – we are so often thinking along the same lines!
I’m proud to follow Joni in the hop again – she is a marvelous crafter! Our challenge this week was to use elegant eggplant with either island indigo/basic gray or with always artichoke/sahara sand – you can see I did the last combo. It was fun using the stamp set Happy Hour and making the bubbly effect with small pearls – I got the idea from another card I saw – sorry I can’t remember the original poster. And now for a surprise, Sandy is back and wants to be included in the hop, so if you’ll head over to Ice Mountain Designs you can see what she has created for our challenge.
Welcome to our Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop – today’s choices are Crushed Curry w/melon mambo & pumpkin or island indigo & real red. I chose to use the fall like colors and am pleased with the outcome. I am sure you enjoyed Joni’s blog entry this week, she always comes up with great ideas. On my card, the background image is done with the retired Elizabeth stamp, which I also used around the edge of the crushed curry layer. The leaf is made with Gently Falling, reinker & crystal effects, window sheets, & dazzling diamonds. Linen thread and retired brads top off the burlap ribbon and clearance rack dsp. Pumpkin pie was sponged on the image before removing the framelit. I am at the end of the hop, but if you started in the middle, hop on over to Robbie’s blog to see what she has whipped up. Thanks for looking.
Thanks for hopping on over from Laura’s blog – This week’s challenge is cherry cobbler and I went with the night of navy/calypso coral combo. My card was inspired by Heidi Tekunoff’s card, but I used different colors & dsp. which I made on mds and you can see that it isn’t a very good match, but it works OK – I used very vanilla cs and sponged it and the petals with crumb cake. I used my Fun Flowers Bigz die and cut the petals and curved them for more depth. The inner bloom is done w/the Itty Bitty Bits punch. Ribbon is old celebration stock. Now go see what Sandy has created – it could be a fall theme – she’s been talking about how the leaves are falling at her place, and I’m sure she will be enjoying some fabulous colors next week.
