Wild Wasabi & A Punch

plum 001plum 002

I am guessing you popped in from Joni’s blog – welcome.  Our challenge today is to use Wild Wasabi with either So Saffron/Perfect Plum or Marina Mist/Early Espresso and to use a punch. I pulled out my new SAB stamp set You’re Lovely and my new Deco Label Framelits (I got them on sale during a weekly special) along with my trusty Scalloped Tag Topper punch & went to work.  I ended up w/two cards – which is your favorite?  I dyed my own ribbon &  used So Saffron reinker w/Frost Shimmer paint and crinkled plastic wrap to give the punched piece a bit of color.  The saying is from Blooming With Kindness.  The Adorning Accents EF  was used on one plum piece & Delicate Designs EF & the Large Scallop Edgelit for the other.  Beautifully Baroque EF provides a nice background.  Thanks for visiting – I’m the end of the hop today, but if you missed anyone go back to Robbie’s blog.

Soft Sky & An Embossed Piece

christmas 008You have probably arrived from Laura’s blog – you must watch her video on how to make her beautiful Victorian Lace  Bow – Our challenge today is to use Soft Sky with either Real Red/Garden Green or Pear Pizzazz/Blushing Bride and to add an embossed piece.  I used real red coordinations paper with the Beautiful Baroque ef and then sanded –  it looks like flocked paper – perfect for Valentine’s!  I’m still having so much fun playing with my new goodies – including the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the Valentine’s sets Flowerful Heart (cut w/Hearts Collection framelit) &  Love You To The Moon.  I finished off the bottom of the tag with the Accents Edgelits & Adorning Accents EF.  The hearts are punched out of red glimmer paper with the retired triple heart punch.  My stampin’ friends (upline & sidelines) had a demo craft day and we debated if this is really Soft Sky – we concluded it might not be, so I ordered a new pack – it arrived and is lighter.  I thought what I had squirreled away before it retired was Soft Sky – now it’s a great mystery.  I’m last on the hop this week – so if you missed any one go back to Robbie’s Blog .  I’m enjoying some snow days – we got 6+ inches here today. Hope you are staying warm – we’re due to have minus 17 w/wind chill – I’ll be hunkering down inside.

So Saffron & A Tag

christmas 007Our challenge today is to use  So Saffron with either Daffodil Delight/Basic Gray or Rose Red/Wild Wasabi and to use a tag.  I was looking at some candles and the colors inspired me to make my own dsp – I was challenged on how to make it look like the candles – so I sponged daffodil delight on some whisper white, then took a few drops of Frost Shimmer Paint and added a few drops of So Saffron reinker – dabbed it on with scrunched up plastic wrap and the magic just happened.  I am having so much fun playing with all my new goodies – I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape, & Springtime Hello from the new mini catalog.  I added a little bling at the top with a Frosted Finishes Embellishment, a line of pearls, delicate details lace tape and a small piece of linen ribbon round out the list of supplies.  The saying is from Blooming With Kindness.  I am last on the hop today – if you missed anyone you can start back at Robbie’s blog or you can go back to Laura’s blog.  Sandy & Carol are having trouble posting with Blogspot.  If you have any suggestions for correcting a problem they are having inserting their photos I know they would really love to hear from you.

Pool Party w/Circles

christmas 006This challenge was to use Pool Party with either Crushed Curry/Old Olive or with Wild Wasabi/Choc Chip and to add circles.  My thinking immediately went to the stamp set Kind & Cozy with the cute gingham circle.  I was excited to find that my new Watercolor Wonder dsp from the new mini catalog included crushed curry, and the SAB Sweet Sorbet dsp included this cute pool party design.  I did some research and learned how to make my own crinkle ribbon and even got the Paper Doily Sizzlit to punch out completely!  I expect you arrived here from Laura’s blog – I love it when she joins us.  Now hop on over to Sandy’s blog.
