If you’ve been hopping around our color coach challenge blogs you know we are using Primrose Petals this week – I’m sure Joni’s blog was wonderful – I went with Summer Starfruit & Basic Gray. The other choice was So Saffron/Marina Mist. The added piece is to include scoring – which is a challenge to photograph adequately (thanks ladies, for all of your suggestions). The sentiment is from the single stamps that were available at Christmas, with the new label bracket punch. The DSP is salebration, and the flower is from the set from the mini called Peaceful Petals. Thanks for stopping in – now hop on over to Sandy’s blog . . . I’m really curious what she ‘scored’!
I made this card for the Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge AND our color coach challenge of midnight muse w/cherry cobbler & pool party or rich razzleberry/crushed curry – and it’s a masculine card (an even bigger challenge for me!) I’m glad to have you stop in – probably from Joni’s blog. Next on the hop is Sandy’s Ice Mountain Designs – so aptly named! My card this week is made entirely with current Stampin Up products: photopolymer Settin’ Sail, sentiment Wetlands, Cherry Cobbler Candy Dots & brad bases, Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon, burlap ribbon, Essentials paper-piercing pack, dsp: cherry cobbler, midnight muse, pool party, crumb cake, circle punches.
This is a special Valentine’s card I am putting in the mail to my daughter and her fiance’. Welcome if you hopped over from Laura’s blog – I can’t wait to see her entry. This challenge was to use Gumball green with melon mambo/so saffron or midnight muse/marina mist with the added twist of the card being a ‘clean and simple’ (CAS) card – which is new to me, but I think I managed to meet the criteria. I used a retired set (Bordering On Romance) that I’ve been wanting to use for years, along with the sentiment from With All My Heart, also retired. The flowers were stamped on Shimmery White cs and I used the reinker floater technique. I used the hearts framelits to make the raised embossing and dies from Memory box for the vine and the love birds. The gumball green border is highlighted with champagne mist shimmer paint (retired) – it really calms down the green and adds a beautiful sparkle/luster to the edges. Here in Winchester we are preparing for a large snow storm – I’ve been to the grocery store and filled the car with gas. Ready to make chilli, soup, and other winter comfort foods. Now hop on over to Ice Mountain Designs – Sandy’s blog – I’m sure she’s getting ready for more winter as well and has posted a wonderful entry.
Hello, I imagine you arrived from Joni’s blog. Our color choices this week were Wisteria Wonder w/Soft Sky & Sahara Sand or Cherry Cobbler & Pink Pirouette. The added twist was to CASE (copy & share everything) from Pinterest. I Cased my card from Hannah Look.
My daughter’s birthday is coming up, so I wanted something special for her. I think she will like this as purple is her favorite. Here is the card I cased.
Recipe is at the bottom. Thanks for popping in and all comments are appreciated. I am happy to send you to Sandy’s blog – she is back!Sentiment from On Your Birthday (retired) with silver ep & deco framelits, sponging w/Wisteria Wonder & Soft Sky ink, embossed with Flower Garden Folder, Sahara Sand DSP from SAB Sweet Sorbet; Cheery Lynn Designs Exotic Butterfly small #2 & shiny silver cs.
