I’m taking the short way out tonight – it’s late – got an extra late start on this challenge – hope you saw the inspiration piece and colors on Joni’s blog. I tried to make these look like the cosmos in the seeds photo – need to refine the technique. Now head on over to Sandy’s to she what she whipped up.
Hi folks – thanks for stopping in. Sandy picked the inspiration piece – great colors! You should have arrived here via Joni’s blog – bet it’s fantastic – and I know you will want to continue onto Sandy’s blog – she is in Wisconsin but has scheduled her entry to appear at just the right time. This was a fun card to do – it was a new idea to me – all the little additions look kind of like confetti – reminds me of a party going on in a card. Check out Sandi MacIver’s card – it was my inspiration.
I love the Seeds inspiration piece Robbie selected . . . but how to use very vanilla to make a flower with tinges of pinks and purples. I thought long and hard about this and am pretty satisfied with my rendition. I used blackberry bliss marked in the center of the stamp – then used my versa marker around the petals then used white ep – water colored with very light melon mambo – to finish I used my chalk marker to add more white to the petals. Melon mambo highlights in the center with the finale of cardstock flock as demonstrated here – I’ve tried to do this before with no luck – this technique was quite easy. I cased Bonnie Klass’s card somewhat – but made it even simpler – I love how well it all came together – I kept trying to add more – but the card just would NOT allow it. I will be mailing this to my Mom for her 86th birthday this week. She is a very special woman. Joni was before me on the hop and Sandy is next.
Hello and welcome from Joni’s blog. I picked this Seeds picture today because the color pallet reminded me of things I could do with a Halloween theme. I took a coffee filter & colored w/markers, then spritzed with water – affixed with modge podge – the houses are one of my new toys Holiday Home with cutting dies. The trees are another new toy from “White Christmas” – hope you like my creation – now hop on over to Sandy’s blog and see what she has on tap today.
Here is my card using Helen’s inspiration piece (below). This is just one of those cards I worked a long time on and I’m not satisfied with, but am out out of time. The vases are made with ovals and circles. The flowers are all made with blackberry bliss in various intensities. Thanks to my upline and my friend Sandy I got play around with the new blendabilities – have 3 sets due to arrive any day 😉 – it really gave me the opportunity to understand using the same color in differing intensities and has helped me use my regular markers with a new outlook. Thanks for popping in – you should have arrive from Joni’s blog and now hop over to Sandy’s blog to see what she whipped up this week.
