Color Blog Hop New Year’s Eve 2014

53950865bHappyNewYearWelcome to our last hop of the year.  Our inspiration piece kept saying ‘translucent’ to me ~ so here’s my try at that. Simple Sketches & Well Scripted (both retired) & Nesties ‘Heart Circles‘ were used.  I made the heart with Pictogram punches and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack – I stamped the heart with versamark on a window sheet, heat embossed with Hologram Highlights (retired) – then colored the back side with Cajun Craze marker and mixed that with Crystal Effects.  The heart and saying are on the outside of a window sheet – it kind of looks like it is floating and translucent (if you click on the photo you can see it better).  I am expecting a box with new goodies any day.    I hope you came here via Joni’s blog – I know she’s loving her new ‘mac’.   I am last this week so if you missed anyone head on over to the beginning with Robbie’s blog.   Happy New Year to all my blog hoppin’ friends 🙂

Color Blog Hop Christmas Eve 2014

ryan 001Welcome from Helen‘s Blog.  I bet she has a very sweet design this week.  I absolutely love this inspiration piece and the colors – but they make me hungry!  I needed a special thank you card for one of my students so I used these colors.  Just had to include a smidgen of gold shimmer paper.  Wonderous Wreath has so many possibilities . . .  I sure am glad they carried it over 🙂  Now hop on over to Sandy’s blog.  I know she is getting ready for her grand kids to arrive.  Merry Christmas everyone!32458827bHolidayPalette

Color Blog Hop Dec. 17, 2014

Welcome from Joni’s blog – every time I write my post I really do wonder what direction all my blog friends took – and it is so fun to do the loop and see their stunning creations.  I picked today’s inspiration because I wanted to use Night of Navy for a Christmas card.  I’ve been planning to do a diorama card.  I have seen several that I love.  My inspiration today came from Gill Prescott here.   I changed my card by adding Santa and his sleigh,  the polar bear and shimmer moon.  Santa is stamped in black StazOn on a window sheet.  You can’t tell from the still photo, but it’s really cool as you open the card the sleigh glides across the sky 🙂  Stamp sets used: More Merry Messages (MDS), Holiday Home, White Christmas & Lovely As A Tree. I hope you are making more progress getting set for the holidays than I am.  I have yet to put my tree up or decorate it!  My, my – always running late!  Now hop on over to Sandy’s blog and leave her a kind comment on her creation this week.95887553bLIZ 2navy 004

Color Blog Hop Dec. 10, 2014

Welcome from Joni’s blog.  I used the old standard (and I’m glad it’s still around) Lovely As A Tree, the saying is from Evergreen (retired).  I mixed gold and champagne glimmer papers and really am pleased with how this card mirrors the glitter and glitz of the inspiration piece.  Now hop over to Sandy’s blog.ed 00236646746bHolidayGlimmer

Color Blog Hop Dec. 3, 2014

77666088bsnow 14 008Welcome to our color blog hop – you should have hopped over from seeing a fantastic entry at Joni’s blog.  As I write this I am wondering what direction the ladies went with these beautiful blues.  One of the reasons I selected this image is because it reminded me of the wonderful All Is Calm DSP that is in the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog . . . so of course my entry uses it along with the Festival of Trees Bundle, the Frosted Sequins & Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta ribbon. Hope you like it – I  cased  my card from Pinterest  – you can it see here on Shannon Jaramillo’s blog.  I changed my color base to Lost Lagoon.   Now hop on over to Sandy’s blog.  She sure saw her fill of early snow on Wednesday.LIZ 1
