Hello – please excuse my short entry, but I am having major computer issues with NO available space on my hard drive, therefore I can’t download images or pictures or edit them. I have a beautiful card that I made with this weeks colors – hopefully you were able to see the inspiration and color choices on someone before me, or I know next on the hop is Sandy and she will certainly have them. I used Work of Art, Gorgeous Grunge and Wetlands on this card. Helen and Joni are both busy this week so I think you should have come via Amanda’s blog . . . if not Robbie is the beginning.
Hi Hoppers – we have more pinks today! You should have popped over from Joni’s blog and Sandy is next in line. Be sure to check out these entries . . . Sandy told me she was going to try to do something ‘fall’ with these colors – so I tried as well. Not too shabby! The stamp sets I used are : For All Things, Gorgeous Grunge & Bordering Blooms. I colored the background stamp with rose red, pink pirouette & blushing bride and then used a wet paint brush to gently blend each color into the next. Tip Top Taupe really goes well with this combo. I colored my sahara sand ribbon with my tip top taupe marker.
Hi hoppers – today’s colors and image were selected by Robbie – I spent a LONG time searching for inspiration on this one. You should have arrived her via Joni’s blog and as usual – Sandy is next on the hop. I ended up trying something new to me – the concept of the “One Sheet Wonder” seen here. I used my fall stamp set For All Things and began making my own dsp on a sheet of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then the fun really began as I tried to use all the pieces to make several cards/projects. I ended up with a little gift bag w/4 mini cards and then 5 additional cards. The process took me a couple of days to come up with all the cards etc. but I am pleased with the finished products. Of course this is easier if you just use a piece of dsp!
Hi hoppers – Helen sure did pick a beautiful inspiration piece. My card uses only three of the colors: Garden Green (which I colored with marker – so it is a very dark version), Blackberry Bliss and a touch of Rose Red for the butterflies. You probably stopped by Joni’s before heading here – make sure to continue on to Sandy’s site a see what she has cooked up this week . . . wonder if it’s flowers???? The stamp set I used this week is Summer Silhouettes.
Hi hoppers – hope you left a comment over at Joni’s and be sure to continue on to Sandy’s blog. I have just struggled for 2 hours to post this picture – my disc space is too full – AGAIN – and it would not let me open or edit my photo. I finally resorted to saving it to an external drive and then was able to copy it from there – ah technology. AND I did spend an hour trying to delete or ‘send to’ to free up space – ugh! Guess I know what I’ll be working on this weekend. Enough on that – hope you enjoy my card this week. I’m not sure I like the font on my saying with this picture – but it’s done and I need such a card, so I’ll use it!
