Color Blog Hop Feb. 24, 2016

Wow!  Where has February gone – next week it will be March!  You should have arrived via Joni’s blog and to continue, Sandy is next.  These colors were a bit tricky for me to use together, but once I got an idea in mind it fell into place quickly.  I used the new set Balloon Celebration with the coordinating punch along with the SAB set Perfect Pairings ~ I needed a masculine birthday card and I really like the font, it’s kind of bold and manly.  Thanks for popping in.2944542bROBBIE -2299IMG_0729

IMG_0728Good morning – as I  write I am looking forward to some warmer weather – and eventually spring!  That pesky groundhog has been up to his usual tricks  . . .   although I did see a cute facebook picture of him reminding all that he said ‘early spring, but not immediately.’ Today’s inspiration piece reminds me of the beautiful flowers that will be blooming abundantly soon . . .  ahhhhh ~ I can almost feel the spring zephyr.  White flowers are very difficult for me to ‘make’ on a card – so I went with simply using black and wild wasabi.  Images are from retired sets The Art of Life and All Holiday Cheer 1.  You should have arrived via Joni’s site and Sandy is up next.86679198b

Today’s picture and colors could go in many directions – I’m sure Joni’s card is inspiring, but uniquely different from mine.  Continue on to see what Sandy whipped up – it will be funny if it is similar to mine – sometimes we do think in tandem – but my inclination is to guess not this time – I know she’s been getting a lot of new goodies, and I went with the old Wetlands set – but I did use the saying from our new Sale-a-bration set Honeycomb Happiness.  I needed a card with this sentiment as I just found out a good friend and fellow gardener – actually, she’s a Master Gardener – from school will need to be in Florida for 3 months to get knee replacement surgery.  Without further ado – here are the colors, picture and my card.  I really put off doing this card because I believed the weather man – my bad – I had a full day of school with no snow storm!IMG_072370883119bcvetovaya-palitra-2599

Hey Hoppers . . .  you should have arrived from Sandy’s blog.  I am last this week.  If you missed anyone you can start at the beginning here at Robbie’s blog.  This week’s inspiration piece is hard to compete with – it is so perfect, but I tried.  Mine is a cute little bird that I plan to use for a friend that is having surgery next week.  Most of our snow has melted and tomorrow they are calling for thunderstorms and, of course, flooding.  Hope everyone is ready for spring  . . . the groundhog says it’s not too far off 🙂IMG_0722Blue-Bird-in-Winter37305439b
