You should have arrived via Joni’s blog and I’m last today. I went with Very Vanilla and gold heat embossing. I was going to add silver, but the gold just looked simply perfect all alone. Sometimes the trick is knowing when to stop. Happy New Year to all. If you missed anyone, go to Robbie’s blog to start at the beginning.
You should have arrived from Joni’s and up next is Sandy. My card today uses a combo of old and new – haha like the old Girl Scout song Make New Friends and keep the old . . . one is silver and the other gold. I love being able to use me favorite retired items – being a crafter vs. a seller has it’s perks. Have a wonderful holiday everyone – next hop will be after Christmas!
At our recent demo meeting we made these cards – I’m really stretching for the ‘silver & gold’ on this one . . . the star on top is gold. Today I had a stamp a stack immediately after school, so I’ve been busy getting ready for it. Actually, I pretty much stamped, embossed, and cut everything so it was more like getting a kit to make 10 cards. The ladies really enjoyed it, so I guess my work was appreciated. Soon I will be able to devote time to card making just for me. Joni was before me, and Sandy is next. Hope you have a great week and are successful finishing up any holiday preparations you need to do. I am trying to change my mind set and keep it simple this year. I did put up my decorations outside (I love the lights at night), but inside I have decided to accept the little tree I just bought. I have given up “The Big Tree” this year – each year I have struggled with downsizing, thinking I’m not ready to give up my big tree. We’re celebrating at my daughters, and with my arm still recuperating I finally gave in. I know if I want to go back to the big tree and lots of decorations I can. I guess in my mind, that’s what makes it OK. Clearly, I’m still not really OK with the change.
